Location
Our versatile purpose-built training area is located in Upper Hutt, but is accessible only via private road. For this reason, we will meet and escort our visitors.
Nestled in the foothills of the majestic Akatarawa Forest, our discreet training area features most types of terrain you're likely to encounter on your travels. You can hone those skills in a safe, non-threatening, environment. More serious challenges are available for more experienced drives to attempt.
Our meeting point is just on the northern side of Totara Park Bridge, Upper Hutt.
To get there:
From Wellington: Take State Highway 2 from Wellington City, passing through Lower Hutt and ignoring exits to Upper Hutt. Note: The Hutt River is located on your right-and side until an S-bend over the Moonshine Bridge sees the river now to your left. Continue to the next bridge which is signposted Totara Park. Turn left across the bridge and then immediately turn left again onto a logging road. STOP outside the gate. This is our meeting point.
From the Wairarapa: Follow State Highway 2, ignoring the exit to Upper Hutt. Just after this turn off, the highway widens at a set of traffic lights, with Totara Park signposted off to your right. Turn right across the bridge and then immediately turn left onto a logging road. STOP outside the gate. This is our meeting point.
From Kapiti and the North: Follow State Highway 1 to Plimmerton, about 30 Km north of Wellington, and cross the Mana Bridge. Turn left at the roundabout for State Highway 58. Follow SH58 all the way to its junction with SH2. Turn left and proceed as described from Wellington.
